A+ for A-Lines!

Pockets, Pleats, Pastels = P E R F E C T I O N

How cute is this skirt?! I’ve just recently fell head over heels for full knee-length A-line skirts, and I found this gem at H&M over summer just in time for Stella & Dot HOOPLA 2015! That’s our annual conference & this was the look I put together for the day of the Fashion Show for the new Fall launch. ❤

This year, I definitely took my wardrobe for this conference to the extra girly extreme. I paired this gorgeous skirt with a nude crop bustier & my fave cap-toe Y-strap leopard print heels by Ivanka Trump. I really love playing with prints – The leopard print on these shoes isn’t so big & obvious so it complemented the bold graphic, playful print of the skirt perfectly.
[ When mixing up prints & patterns, usually it’s best to keep one print as the main focus of your outfit and add other prints just as a fun unexpected detail. That way your look isn’t so ‘in your face, I don’t know what to look at, but I can’t turn away!’ kind of ordeal. You know what I’m talkin’ about, Lol. ]

I was totally picking up some retro vibes so I wanted to top it off with these super-fun oversized pearls by Stella & Dot & of course, that little unexpected edginess I like to add in every look, so I layered the pearls on top of a lariat necklace. Thank goodness for my hotel roomie who packed her pearl studs!

If you didn’t know already, I don’t do hair. Lol. The bun was more of a ‘just showered, no time to bother with my hair, just throw it in a bun’ afterthought. But it totally works right? ;P

This is how I wore the skirt to work when vacay was finally over.
Love, love, Love it paired with a light wash button up tied at the waist!
& then this necklace peeking from under the collar?! Ugh, died. Lol. This necklace is also Stella & Dot. It’s called the Tansy and it was the FIRST piece that convinced me I wanted to be a part of the business! To this day, it’s one of my favorites — and it’s still available online ladies!! It has a vintage gold finish & hand sculpted fringe that I am just OBSESSED with. You may not think so, but it really does go with everything! In my opinion = total wardrobe must-have.
To finish off the look, I threw on a nude strappy heel to keep most of the focus on the skirt and necklace detail!

From retro glam to cute in the cubicle, which look do you like best?! 🙂

new york skirtSO, thanks to this blog, I just came across heaven on Earth – well, skirt heaven at least! I was going to do a spread of my top picks from various websites, but I’m falling in love with every skirt I’m seeing so it’s become rather impossible. Where is this heaven you ask?! Chicwish.com They have a HUGE selection of full knee-length skirts and I might. just. place. a million dollar order. LOL. I mean they have a New York Skyline printed skirt! I think my obsession just skyrocketed. Ok ok, i’ll calm down & let you see for yourself!
